Your adventure begins in Arusha with a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll descend into the famed Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive through one of the most biodiverse areas in Africa. Expect sightings of the Big Five, as well as flamingos, hippos, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra. After a picnic lunch with panoramic views, continue to the central Serengeti for two days of immersive wildlife viewing across its sweeping plains—home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and a stunning variety of birds. Throughout the trip, you’ll enjoy game drives in a private Landcruiser, guided by seasoned professionals, and stay at the elegant Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, ensuring comfort and authentic safari atmosphere from start to finish.
Your adventure begins early with a pick-up from the airport or your chosen location in Arusha. After a brief safari orientation, you’ll depart with packed lunch boxes toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival at the park gate, entry formalities will be completed before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Spend the late morning exploring this incredible UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to a high concentration of wildlife. Around midday, stop at a scenic picnic site to enjoy your packed lunch surrounded by the crater’s stunning landscapes. In the afternoon, exit the crater and begin your drive toward Serengeti National Park, arriving in the early evening for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay at the lodge. After breakfast, set off with lunch boxes for a full-day game drive in Central Serengeti. Spend the day exploring the park’s vast plains and abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, and more. Following breakfast, check out of the lodge with lunch boxes and begin your journey back to Arusha. Enjoy a game drive en route as you exit Serengeti National Park. Later in the morning, you’ll pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with the option of a brief stop for views or a restroom break. Around midday, enjoy your packed lunch along the way. By late afternoon, you will be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha (please note airport transfer is not included).
