Crafted with care and backed by years of experience in East African safaris, this itinerary begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi to the Masai Mara in a private 4×4 safari vehicle. Guests stay at the renowned Basecamp Masai Mara, nestled along the Talek River with direct access to the reserve. The safari includes an afternoon game drive on arrival and a full-day exploration of the reserve, offering superb opportunities to witness the Big Five, graceful giraffes, large elephant herds, and predator action in their natural habitat. You will be picked up at 08:00 from the airport or your preferred location and begin the 5-hour journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival at around 13:00, you will check in to the hotel, enjoy lunch, and take some time to rest. At 15:00, you will head out for an afternoon game drive in the reserve, with opportunities to spot the Big Five and other common wildlife. The day begins with breakfast at the camp at 06:00, followed by a 07:00 departure for a full-day game drive with packed lunch boxes. You will explore the deeper areas of the Masai Mara Reserve, offering excellent chances to spot a variety of wildlife including lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, and more. After breakfast at the lodge at 08:00, you will check out and depart for Nairobi at 09:00. You are expected to arrive in Nairobi around 13:00, followed by a transfer to your designated drop-off location.
